Here's an idiom for you to try out this week in your daily speaking practice!

When somebody is struggling with a very easy idea or process and its seems as if they are dealing with something as complicated as rocket science, we say 'it's not rocket science' in a sarcastic way to almost suggest that they’re being stupid for struggling with something so easy, and that we're pretty annoyed they can't understand it! (below)
Let’s have a look at a few examples:
It’s simple, you just have to write your name at the top of the page, it’s not rocket science.
I don’t know why he can't understand the homework, it’s not rocket science!
It’s not rocket science, just wait in the queue and someone will call your name, easy!
This is a pretty informal, sarcastic and sometimes rude thing to say to someone you know well / you're close with as it almost says 'Are you stupid?!' and shows that you are a bit annoyed because they can't understand something quickly.
However, much like most idioms in English, you can use it to explain how achievable something is (below) or in a funny way to tease someone and cause no harm! 😊
