Here's an idiom for you to try out this week in your daily speaking practice!

This phrase is always used with 'get' as shown and means someone has got the story or how a series of events happened, this may mean they build an opinion that's not quite correct about what has happened.

Let’s have a look at some examples:

Geoff had got the wrong end of the stick, and thought I was angry with him.
People who think the song is about drugs have got the wrong end of the stick.
