Here's an idiom for you to try out this week in your daily speaking practice!

This phrase refers to repairing a relationship after a conflict / disagreement where it has weakened or broken but not over - it can be used in all kinds of relationships; romantic, friendships or professional relationships.


Grammar: used with 'by' as shown in these examples:

She tried to make amends by apologizing to him.
I tried to make amends for the misunderstanding by sending her flowers.
